Pasos Recovery House Welcoming Hosts

Pasos Philosophy

At Pasos, we believe the time between treatment and ordinary life matters deeply.

That belief shapes everything about the way this place has been created, and the kind of welcome guests find when they arrive here.

Recovery Opens Into Life

We believe recovery is a doorway into something fuller.

At its best, recovery becomes a way back into real life, into daily wellbeing, steady thinking, meaningful connection, and the ability to enjoy where you are again.

That belief shapes the way Pasos has been designed, the way guests are treated here, and the direction everything at Pasos is pointing toward.

PASOS RECOVERY HOUSE ABERDEEN

The In-Between Stage Deserves More Care

The stage between treatment and ordinary life is one of the most significant parts of the whole journey, and one of the least supported. It deserves more care than it often receives.

Habits, thought patterns, confidence, and daily rhythm all take time to settle. People need space to let that happen. Space to build new foundations at a pace that actually holds.

Recovery does not settle into place overnight. Progress takes time. Habits, thought patterns, rhythms, and confidence often need longer to adapt than people expect. For some, going straight from treatment back into old pressures, familiar environments, or everyday demands can feel too much, too soon.

Pasos was created to be that space, calm, personal, and genuinely focused on what this stage needs.

Every Person Is an Individual

At Pasos, guests are not viewed as problems to manage or numbers to move through.

They are human beings to be cared for, welcomed, respected, and genuinely looked after.

Everyone arriving here brings a different history, a different set of needs, and a different sense of what comes next. The care here is shaped around that. What helps one person may look entirely different for another, and that difference is honoured.

Seven rooms. Margaret and Andy directly involved. Enough space to truly know who is staying here.

Connection Is the Common Thread

We believe recovery is deeply personal.

Whether someone's recovery includes 12-step, SMART Recovery, therapy, coaching, faith, wellbeing practices, or something that doesn't fit a single label, what matters most to us is that each person is supported in finding what genuinely helps them move forward.

Across every pathway, one thing tends to matter most: connection. Connection with people who understand. Connection with a steadier way of living. Connection with what is real and sustaining for the individual.

Pasos is here to support that,  whatever shape it takes.

Support That Respects the Person

Warmth with respect

Guests are looked after with genuine care, and treated as capable, independent people who are moving forward. Both things at once.

Rhythm without rigidity

There is structure at Pasos, but it comes from daily life rather than a rulebook. Guests discover what a settled, well-lived day can feel like, and carry that with them.

Wellbeing as a foundation

Margaret brings professional training in yoga, qigong, mindfulness, and breathwork. Wellbeing at Pasos is woven into daily life and part of how the foundations get built.

Life will bring challenges. Pasos offers a calm, supported environment to meet the early ones. with people nearby who have walked this road, understand what it asks of someone, and are genuinely in your corner.

Toward a Life Worth Enjoying

We believe recovery is about more than stopping. It is about learning how to live, to enjoy life, to care for yourself, to find rhythm, connection, and moments of real joy again.

The goal of a stay at Pasos is to give guests the conditions to move toward something,  more peace, more confidence, more enjoyment in the everyday. To leave here believing that what comes next is genuinely worth looking forward to.

That is what Pasos is here to help people discover.
